SKAGIT VALLEY GENEALOGY SOCIETY
As you all know things have changed in the last six (6) months. Zoom participation is our new reality. Covid-19 has forced all of us to stay inside to avoid coronavirus contamination. However, that doesn’t mean that we can not pursue our love of genealogy. SkVGS is excited to present a three (3) part series of online classes for all interested genealogist in October. The cost will be $10.00 per class or all three classes for $25. You can’t beat that price. There is no overhead for travel, motels or meals. You can even watch in your pajamas.
Each class will be on a Thursday morning from 10:30 to noon. The dates will be October 15th, 22nd and 29th. You need to register and submit payment at least one week before each individual class date and by October 10th if you plan to attend all three classes. The theme for these classes is “Defining Moments in History”. Click on the poster image in the sidebar to see more detail.
October 15 — Basics of U.S. Genealogy Research by Mary Kircher-Roddy
October 22 — Becoming America – The Story of Immigration by Janice Lovelace, PhD
October 29 — Write Your Family History by Dave Obee
Once you have completed the registration below you need to pay for the class. You can click HERE to download and print a short form for you to mail in with your check.
You can also use the PayPal link in the sidebar to pay with PayPal or with your credit card. If you are not familiar with paying with your credit card in PayPal, it is suggested that you read the PayPal Confused link in the sidebar giving instructions.
Note: Paying for all 3 classes or an individual class is straight forward. Paying for only two classes is trickier. If you decide, for example, that you want to attend the October 15th and October 29th class thus skipping the October 22nd class, you have to pay for each class independently. As soon as we receive your payment, you will receive confirmation. A Zoom link and pass-code for the class(es) you select will be emailed to you the day before class presentation.
